We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Parts Manager to lead a busy automotive parts department. This role is ideal for a hands-on, sales-focused professional with a proven ability to drive parts sales, maximise profitability, manage inventory, and lead a high-performing team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an automotive dealership Parts Department
- 2–3 years’ experience as a Parts Manager or Senior Parts Supervisor
- Experience with Dealer Management Systems (Keyloop, Kerridge, Automate, or similar)
- Computer literate (MS Office, particularly Excel)
- Strong leadership, financial, and business management skills
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the Parts Department
- Drive parts sales, gross profit, and departmental performance
- Lead, coach, and motivate the parts team
- Maintain effective inventory control and minimise obsolete stock
- Ensure accurate ordering, receipting, issuing, and stock control
- Build strong relationships with workshop, retail, wholesale customers, and suppliers
- Conduct stock takes and ensure compliance with company standards
- Monitor departmental performance and achieve monthly targets
