Test Analyst (Bellville)

Metropolitan Life, part of Momentum Group, is looking for a Test Analyst in Bellville. You will apply the right testing methods, strategies, scripts and plans across the software development cycle so that systems meet business requirements and agreed quality standards. Remote work is possible some of the time.

Key responsibilities:

– Own the test cycle for assigned features or releases, from requirements review to UAT sign-off

– Design and maintain test cases, scripts and plans aligned to acceptance criteria

– Run functional, regression, integration and end-to-end tests

– Build and maintain automated regression and smoke tests (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines

– Track defects carefully and produce clear test summary reports

– Work with business analysts and developers to make acceptance criteria testable and complete

– Guide junior testers and take part in Agile ceremonies

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or equivalent (a relevant diploma with enough experience may be considered)

– ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (must be held on appointment); working towards ISTQB Advanced Level is required

– 4-7 years’ relevant IT or software testing experience

– Hands-on test automation experience in a team setting

– Experience in Agile/Scrum teams; financial services experience is an advantage
