Keep hospital IT systems running for clinicians and staff
Netcare is looking for a Technical Support Specialist at N1 City Hospital in Cape Town to maintain and support the site’s IT environment. The specialist needs to understand the site’s full hardware and software setup and support users across business, technology and process boundaries.
Key responsibilities:
– Provide technical support for desktops, servers, middleware and software.
– Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain Group Policy, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and email systems.
– Support server and desktop infrastructure and contribute to IT projects.
– Troubleshoot on site and work with users, consultants, vendors and technical teams to find the right solutions.
– Run backups and recovery procedures, monitor and tune system performance, and escalate application issues to vendors.
– Keep documentation up to date, work as part of the wider team, and keep up with Netcare policies.
Requirements:
– Grade 12; further qualifications are an advantage, and a Microsoft qualification is required.
– 3 years’ working knowledge of IT systems and helpdesk support.
– Experience with Windows 10, Microsoft Office/Outlook, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V or virtual servers, and Windows Server.
– Strong customer focus and work ethic.
