IT Technician (Junior)

Raubex’s Construction Materials division (Tosas) has a contract opening for a Junior IT Technician based in Wadeville, Germiston, with travel when needed. You will assist the Senior IT Technician with day-to-day support: helping users, fixing hardware and software problems, managing accounts and keeping systems reliable and secure.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide user support for Microsoft 365, hardware, software, device set-ups and mobile devices
• Give remote and on-site support, and escalate advanced issues to other teams when needed
• Install and troubleshoot network hardware, and trace, label and document existing infrastructure
• Spot and prevent recurring problems, working with IPT and Raubex IT teams
• Run stock takes and equipment tracking, and get quotes for and procure IT equipment
• Log and update tickets on the Raubex helpdesk (Halo)

Requirements:

• South African citizen
• Grade 12 (compulsory); a relevant IT qualification is an advantage
• 1-2 years’ experience in IT support or a similar technical role
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows 11, and practical desktop and laptop troubleshooting experience
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
• Valid driver’s licence (or in the process of getting one)
