Group Procurement Finance Manager (CPT)

Santam’s Group Procurement team is hiring a seasoned Finance Manager at Santam Head Office in Tygervalley, Cape Town. The role runs day-to-day financial management of Group Procurement, covering planning, budgeting, performance management and reporting, and works with stakeholders from junior management up to Manco, Exco and CFOs, across Santam, its subsidiaries and the wider Sanlam Group.

Key responsibilities:

– Report monthly on Group Procurement’s financial position against budget across all cost centres

– Consolidate Group Procurement balance sheet reconciliations for review and sign-off

– Manage and reconcile headcount for permanent and contract staff

– Analyse expense trends and recommend cost optimisation

– Process journals and invoices, and build and update budget and billing models for procurement services

– Calculate the total cost of Group Procurement services and set fair cost drivers for allocations across the group

– Support business cases, financial modelling, commercial agreements and data deep-dives

Requirements:

– Undergraduate / Honours degree; qualified CA with 6-8 years’ related experience

– 8-10 years’ financial management experience in budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting

– Strong technical accounting and reporting skills, including tax and VAT

– Strong data and cost modelling skills; insurance knowledge is a strong recommendation

– Power BI, TM1, Qlik or similar reporting tools advantageous
